On view: Richard Avedon’s Murals and Portraits Exhibition at Gagosian, New York. The exhibition is devoted to the photographer’s murals and photographic portraits and features some of the iconoclasts of the 60s and 70s, including Ginsberg and his partner Peter Orlovsky, Warhol’s factory crew in various states of undress and writer Jean Genet.
Avedon’s images were icons of their embattled times, and they remain irresistibly alive today. On view until July 6.
